ProntoMexico.com was formed in 1996 by six mid-western American friends from college. Our first visit to Puerto Vallarta convinced us that this is Paradise, and close to the USA. We have a combined 190 years of experience here and moved here permanently in 1996. It is warm, safe, exciting and economical. None of the border problems exist here! In fact, we have our own English speaking Tourist Police to assist us in a friendly and polite way. Tourism is the main business here and the Mexican authorities will not tolerate any problems involving tourists! The tourist always comes first!

Being among the very first tourists here, we couldn't believe our good luck. The ambiance, the sights, the sounds, the aromas, the good natured Mexican people and the very economical prices. We found HEAVEN and decided this was the retirement destination of choice. This is a wonderful place to live! And we have a large ex-pat community that proves it! Socializing is not a problem.

With our American way of life evaporating, it became a smart choice to retire here. As has another 25,000 Americans, Canadians and Europeans. Now that Puerto Vallarta has grown since the early "Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton" days, all the modern technologies are here. We have the very best of American trained and board certified doctors and dentists. Thousands of people visit for those services alone, not to mention Puerto Vallarta is an international resort destination with fabulous restaurants, shopping, sun, beaches, golf, tennis and internationally famous sport fishing.

As we watched this fabulous growth and recognized the need to inform the world of "The Warmth Of Mexico", we launched ProntoMexico.com to assist the tourist with specific needs.
